Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Quartz White Dial
The Case:
The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC813P1 features a circular case that measures 39mm in diameter and is crafted out of brushed stainless steel. It exhibits a crown at 3 o’clock and two push-buttons that are located either side of it at 2 and 4 o’clock. The push-buttons enable the wearer to operate the two sub-dials. The case also displays a fixed bezel that displays a black tachymeter scale that can be used to measure time and distance. Domed sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with optimum protection against scratches and shattering. The caseback is screwed down.
The Dial:
The dial is presented in white and it exhibits an uncomplicated layout which ensures the dial always remains readable. Silver baton style hour markers are interspersed by a 60-second track. In the centre of the dial there are three sub-dials that exhibit a 60-minute scale, a 60-second scale and a 24 hour scale. A silver sword style handset has been filled with a luminescent material so that the dial can be read in the dark. A date-display window is located in between the 4 and 5 o’clock marker, while the Seiko logo is presented in silver beneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Bracelet:
The watch comes featured on a classic 3-link oyster style bracelet that is crafted out of stainless steel that has been treated to a brushed finish. The bracelet fastens through the use of a three-fold clasp with push button release.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by Seiko V192 caliber solar quartz movement which offers an accuracy of +15/-15 seconds per month. It has a battery life of approximately 6 months when it is fully charged. It is water resistant to 100 metres, which means that it can be worn when snorkelling.
